A. The Letter Drive
Last Thursday we had our 2nd letter drive in KMY lounge from 9:30pm - midnight.
People dropped by, ate some of the tasty REFRESHMENTS, talked, and wrote
letters for the 700 Palestinian homes that are threatened with demolishment,
nuclear disarmement, and salvage logging.  We wrote about 40 letters.

Next Letter Drive is on April 10.  We will choose issues at our next
meeting.  You are encouraged to announce it at your church (if you have one),
to make this more open to the community.


B. Walmart Alternative / Downtown GC
Anne, Brooke, Tim, and Jeff went to 25 stores last Thursday to see if they
would be willing to offer students discounts and to gather information for an
informational directory of what exists downtown.

There will be another trip downtown next week, talk to one of these people if
you are interested.
The directory will most likely come-out for the beginning of the next school
year.

C. Peace Notes
I passed out copies of Peace Notes.  It is a bi-annual publication with
articles written by people like us (menno peacers students).  I have a couple
copies left if you want one, or ask around.

D. Earth Day
Stay tuned for a very exciting Earth Day, coming up on the first reading day.

E. CPT noon fast
We will have a fast Wednesday noon in solidarity with the Palestians whose
homes the Israeli government is threatening to demolish.  Reading, praying,
singing, silence.  Services every half hour or so.  It will be on the grass
outside the cafeteria.  62 students have signed up for the fast, and Marriott
is donating $62 to CPT.
