Earth Day Leigh has made contact with poeple outside pax to work on E.D. activities. They will come to pax when additional help is needed. Clothing Drive Tara and Jeff delivered the clothes. The organization said that there was enough clothing to share with other orgnaizations as well. Mediation I talked to Phyllis Studzman. She recommends that we have a meeting with Don Blosser, Norm Koffman, pax members, and herself to define what exactly we want to do and and the best way to go about this. Letter Drive (Anne) You should be seeing signs appearing around campus informing/reminding about Thursday's letter drive taking place at the KMY lounge from 10-12. This week's issues: The Columbian government shutdown of the Mennonite Seminary, Peace Tax Fund, and Bill close the schools in America. Graduation Pledge Leigh introduced a pledge for graduates which states: "I pledge to investigate and take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job opportunity I consider." Chad will contact the Sr. commencement planning committee to see if this is a possibility for this year's grads. LBGA concerns Aaron mentioned the meeting and pizza party for gay, lesbian, bisexuals, and supporters. This will take place at NC 19 meeting-3:30, food at 4:00. (sorry, I forget the date-sunday I think, but you'll want to double check that.) If interested in reading Dave Lapp's paper on the history of LBGA-drop Aaron an email. If the LBGA should receive club status, how should this be introduced to the larger Mennonite Church? Alternate Publication Contact Reuben if interested in being part of the staff of this publication focusing on peace and justice issues. There will be a meeting this week for those interested this week. Tentative date-Thursday 4:00 Opinion board Pax will not be having a recovering ceremony.
