From today's meeting.

Letter Drive: over 40 letters were written
              next one on March 20th
              next topics: Salvage Logging, Shell (in Peru), nuclear abolition.
              *there will be food this time!*

Walmart Alternatives (attempting to identify alternatives to shopping at
Walmart)
Jessica, Felisa, and Tim will get on this soon.

Conflict Mediation: Norm, who was really interested in setting up this program,
is resigning, so that is a setback.  He'll talk to Don about it.

Earth Day:  a committee has been formed with PAX + Senate 
            CAC is involved, outdoor Marriott picnic
            poetry reading at the Brew
            workshops on a wide range of topics are being planned
            a need to keep it focussed on the Earth (not just a party)
(*note Earth Day is on the first reading day*)

LGBA Support: talked about how the pizza party/social went
              how do we get discussion going?  small groups with facilitators?

Alternative to Chapels and Convos:  Jeff, Chad and Reuben are to write a
proposal for an alternative activity with credit at the same time as convos and 
chapels.  Would be great for small group discussions.

CPT: Christian Peacemakers Team is currently doing a 700 hour fast to protest
700 Palestinian houses that are going to be bulldozed to make way for
settlements and roads.  As of today we have started a rotating fast to support
them, with one person fasting each day.  We will also write letters and raise
awareness on campus.  Talk to Chad to signup to fast for a day!  This fast will
last until March 30th.
