Pax Minutes for Tuesday April 1

1. CPT, the 700 hour fast...
     We had 61 people sign-up to miss a meal at Marriott and join in the fast we
had last Wednesday noon in solidarity with the 700 Palestinian families whose
homes are scheduled to be demolished.  Marriott will be giving us $61 that we
will be sending to the Christian Peacemaker Teams.  I wrote CPT to tell them
about our fast and they were glad to hear of our action.

     CPT member Cliff Kindy, who had been participating in the fast and was
deported several days ago from Israel for civil disobedience, along with Rich
Meyer, who has been fasting in front of the White House, will both be on campus
from 11:15am-1pm this Thursday for lunch with interested students (likely in 
Westlawn Lounge).

2. Letter Writing
     Our next letter writing session will be on Thursday, April 10, from 9:30PM to
midnight.  Issues will include the Iraqi embargo, NATO expansion, and another
one.  Advertise this in your church.  Bring any responses you have received
for past letters. There will be SNACKS!

3. Finances
     We still have several hundred dollars to spend.  We agreed to finance
publication of an informative pamphlet by the Advocates that will be coming
out within a week.

4. Earth Day: watch for stuff appearing on campus soon.
