Hello all on the paxnet. I will be sending minutes from our meetings out every week via email as well as a brief calender of anything we should be aware of in the upcoming week. Minutes will also be posted in the pax office and probably in the union at the opinion board. If anything is incorrect or omitted in this, please let me know.

Calender for this week:

Meeting at Westlawn lounge or lawn Tuesday the 9th at 5:30 pm (bring any photos of last year's pax events to make display for club day. Also, think about what ways you are interested in being involved this year in pax so we can perhaps form some committees on the 9th)

-balance our affirming the positive, having fun with decrying the evils of society so that we become neither too silly nor too somber

5. We talked about some structuring of the group:

-We'll go with committees responsible for specific projects. Some concern was raised as to the potential for committees to create a hierarchy in which individuals in committees are making decisions for the rest of the group. We acknowledged this concern and stressed that focus of the groups should be nitty gritty detail with the weekly meeting time for deciding courses of action and hearing reports from committees.
- Time for discussion of issues to be during letter-writing sessions to keep meetings from running too long

6. Old business to follow up on:

-Downtown shoppers Guide

8. Adjournment

-We also adjourned the meeting on schedule at 6:30!
-Leigh and Rachelle brought the idea of opening and/or closing with a song/prayer. We closed singing Dona Nobis Pacem in a 3-part melodious round. Not bad.
