Which side are you on? Do you believe in justice freedom equality? Or do you lie and wither as the times go by? Do you feel change in the wind or do you feel cold? When there's an earthquake do you smile. Why do you sit, why don't you stand. If there's a revolution, what would you do? Would you lead the charge, would you organize, would you spread the news, would you fight the system? Where would you fight, who would you join. Are you ready? Will you ever be. Do you even care? What if tonight, or early in the morning, One hundred thousand seized the capital. Peacefully, without hurting anyone. What if someone nailed the president in the heart with a pea shooter? What if the violence came home to roost? Rose up in the streets, sang, shouted or walked quietly. What if someone poked a hole in every single car tire in every single car. What if lightning hit the Whitehouse? God works in mysterious ways. What if people quit work, quit the capitalist system, lived together and called for a change. What if ten thousand people dedicated their life to a different way. Or think small. How many people would it take to shut a small city down? Block of the roads, the rails, cut off the power. How many people would it take for the government to realize that we can't take it. How many people would it take to shut down Goshen? What would the government do if people rebelled like the Zapatistas? What would they say when presented with grievances true and yet scary. What would you do? Are you feeling unhappy with your job, with your life, are you alienated from the hearts of people? Do you see its the system. The system says its you. But it is the system. How about Jesus. He had something to say on the issue. Did he side with the rich sinners? Did he care for the poor? What did he think of the government? What did he do to the government? Which side do they tell us he was on? Which side was he on? Which side is he on. What would he say if he was here and saw the convulutedness of the whole matter? Would it be time to reassert the new gospel. Do we need to be brought back to the roots. Which side is he on. Which side are you on. I cried on January 1. So much greed. I smiled on January 2nd. Imagine. In Mexico. I cry on November 7. I marched a year ago for Clayquot Sound. A couple thousand marched along. We knew. I prayed for peace in Haiti. Peace mixed with war. They betray us through our eyes. How could they? I know which side I'm on. We are hundreds, thousand, and hundreds times more. There are others, people. United and diverse. People who know what to do, and people who have a feel. We aren't together, yet who knows. Maybe, one day, it will develop, The wind will blow the ground change, the mountains move and the sky fall. Maybe it'll knock down Babylon. We'll build a new house. Home for all. We'll be on our side, and you'll be on our side. So which side are you on? Why aren't you ready? Sometimes I feel called. Sometimes I have too much too many and too much to be apart of people. Individual not group, divided by the system. They've divided me to believe that I'm on their side. They instruct me, they instruct you. Not called to action, but ruled by greed. Why do I want to be on their side anyways? Realize that they are separate from the Earth, separate from the Land, separate from God. I want to be with the people with the land with God. They oppress, they kill, they lock people away because of the side they are on. They know their power. Do we know ours? They know which side they're on, do you?
