Background

Farmworker Awareness Week (FAW) is a Student Action with Farmworkers-called, nation-wide week of action for students and community members to raise awareness about farmworker issues on their campuses and in their communities. Every year FAW takes place during the week of Cesar Chavez's birthday, March 31st, to honor his legacy as a leader of the farmworker movement.

Students and others across the country participate in FAW by planning events, teach-in's, rallies, marches, and film-screenings to inform their campuses and communities of the injustices farmworkers face and ways to support farmworkers.
