Description
Introduction by Lydia Poon, Senior Manager of Special Projects, Center for American Progress.

The Senate has long been known as the world’s greatest deliberative body. Navigating the Senate has always been and continues to be a great challenge for the American public, as well as for senators themselves.

Nevertheless, no great progressive advance can be enacted without the Senate.

Join former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle for a candid discussion about his experiences as a Senate leader.

Senator Daschle will shed light on his experiences in the Senate and how the lessons he has learned apply to leaders in all stages of their careers.

Monday, June 26 at the Center for American Progress, 1333 H St. NW, 10th Floor, Washington, DC. 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Light snacks and refreshments will be served beginning at 3:00 p.m.
