announcement with others who may want to attend.
Who should attend: youth and young adults, youth sponsors and Sunday
school teachers, pastors and youth pastors, conference youth ministers,
peace committee members, school teachers and guidance counselors.
This inspiration for this conference comes from an Anabaptist
consultation in Elgin, IL in March of 2005, which focused on the
potential for military conscription. Given the strong military
recruitment efforts in communities burdened by poverty and racism, a
people-of-color caucus at the consultation issued a strong call for a
conference focusing on military recruitment. For more information on
counter-recruitment see: www.mcc.org/us/co/counter
