Description
Carol J. Adams will present her slideshow, "The Sexual Politics of Meat." In this she discusses the images of women and animals in contemporary popular culture. Adams utilizes the concept of absent referent through autobiography to explain the animalizing of women and sexualizing of animals. Within the slideshow she also provides connections between different oppressions such as sexism, racism, and speciesism.
