The Washington State Labor Education and Research Center invites you to join us at the Emerging Leaders Conference. This conference is an educational forum for union members, younger workers, and those who have not previously played a leadership role to learn about the critical issues of our time and develop leadership skills. We will bring together trade unionists, student activists, and community organizers from throughout Washington State - the next generation of leaders for our labor and social justice movements. SPECIAL SESSION ON MENTORING! On Saturday May 21st from 2:30-5:30 there will be a special session on mentoring. This is intended for current leaders who want to mentor emerging leaders. YOU CAN ATTEND THIS SESSION FOR FREE WITHOUT REGISTERING FOR THE ENTIRE CONFERENCE. Email Sarah Laslett at to reserve a space. If you would like to stay at the conference through Saturday evening to network with conference participants, have dinner, and hear Kent Wong, our keynote speaker, we ask that you pay $25 to cover the cost of your dinner.
